For the past three decades the Scottsdale Athletic Club, previously known as the Scottsdale Racquet Club, has played a major role in the Southwest’s tennis community. Every December since 1973, the club has been the host of the Fiesta Bowl Senior Open Tennis Tournament. This is the largest U.S. tournament which is devoted exclusively to seniors ages 30 and above. The USTA has now designated the Fiesta Bowl as a category II National Ranking Tournament, which has attracted top players from around the United States.
We also have had the proud distinction since 1991 of hosting the USTA National Men’s Hardcourt Championship. This event has continually featured prominent national and internationally ranked players in the 35 and over category.
